2013 Bittern Estate Gewurztraminer (case of 6)
Huon HOOKE Review
Awarded a Bronze Ribbon with 88 points
Pale straw in colour, a fresh white wine style from the upper Rhine Valley region of Alsace, the Bittern Estate Gewurztraminer exhibits the delicious honeysuckle, Turkish delight and spicy pear nose of the variety. The rich, spicy, dry palate and lingering crisp finish makes our 2013 vintage ideal to accompany many Asian dishes particularly spicy Thai cuisine as well as adding complementary flavours to many vegetarian dishes. The sweet nose of the Bittern Estate Gewurztraminer followed by the unexpected dry palate enhances the flavours of most Asian and seafood dishes. This wine will develop a fuller body and more spicy palate as it ages.
